Deck Sanding

Miles and miles of cedar to sand.....
Looks much better when it's done....and once it dries out from all the rain we've been having it will be painted.

Jam Marathon

Today I turned a flat of these fabulous local berries into.....

.....37 of these!!!

The Garden Progress

The garden is filling in really well despite the cool rainy June weather.  The lettuces and peas are loving the cool moist air.

Loganberries are starting to make fruit.  Henrik had to build a shelter for them to keep the birds out.  The robins have decimated the cherry tree and the red currants but at least we'll get some of the loganberries for ourselves.

Future grapes in the making.

Father's Day Hike Up Mt Aerosmith

A pretty orange flower in the early part of the hike.  After long, we didn't notice flowers any more because our legs and lungs hurt too much.

On the bridge looking at the waterfall.  I was still blissfully ignorant about how far up we still had to climb.

About half way up these pretty little fellows were found at the base of a tree.

At the top of the lookout, the trees are small and lichens abundant. The contrasts are magical.

A Whiskey Jack came to share our snacks at the top.  They stayed for about 20 minutes and played with us!
