Garden progress

Henrik diligently cleaned out all of the undergrowth around the big red Rhododendron, applied landscape fabric and mulch.

Louise is lounging on the lawn.
HK's tidied up landscaping makes it feel like a park!

Yucca Frog!

The peas have their supports to climb up now! Just in time, they had been growing at least an inch each day.

The floor in the addition has been painted. It will stay this way until it's time to put down the hardwood.

The underfloor heating system has been installed in the entry-way.

The ceiling fans have been installed in the great room.
Unfortunately they're horribly loud so they'll have to be replaced.

Cool Lizard Living by the Back Door.

Alligator Lizard has moved in!

Peas and Lettuces and a Hard Working Guy

The peas are ready for their support systems to be installed so they can climb up.  They have been mulched to conserve water and minimize our requirements for weeding.

The first salads have been consumed from the new crop of lettuces.  By the time Christian gets home from Yemen we should be eating salad every day.

The hard working garden guy!

Danish Columbines in Bloom

Last year Henrik received Columbine seeds from family in Denmark.  This year we have the flowers in bloom. These dark purple and white ones are called Magpie.
The yellow ones have very long elegant 'tails'.
