Garden Production
![]() |
The loganberries are producing quite a lot this year. I have harvested about 4 lbs of fruit and expect at least that much more in the coming weeks. |

The red currants were hit hard by the birds and the harvest was smaller than usual this year. Unfortunately, I don't think there is enough fruit to make jelly. |

A few lovely peas in the sunshine. |
Yummy!! |
Everything extra has been blanched and frozen for next winter. |
We'll have these for Christmas dinner! |
More Deck Work
The spaces between all the boards had to be sanded prior to painting. HK manufactured a deck scraping tool for the job. |
And then started sanding.... |

and sanding....and sanding....a lot! |
Next came the first coat of paint. |
It has taken a few days to get it painted. Hopefully it will be finished this week. |

The Garden Progress
The garden is filling in really well despite the cool rainy June weather. The lettuces and peas are loving the cool moist air. |
Loganberries are starting to make fruit. Henrik had to build a shelter for them to keep the birds out. The robins have decimated the cherry tree and the red currants but at least we'll get some of the loganberries for ourselves. |
Future grapes in the making. |
Father's Day Hike Up Mt Aerosmith
A pretty orange flower in the early part of the hike. After long, we didn't notice flowers any more because our legs and lungs hurt too much. |

On the bridge looking at the waterfall. I was still blissfully ignorant about how far up we still had to climb. |
About half way up these pretty little fellows were found at the base of a tree. |
At the top of the lookout, the trees are small and lichens abundant. The contrasts are magical. |
A Whiskey Jack came to share our snacks at the top. They stayed for about 20 minutes and played with us! |
