Placing Big Rocks



The big rock for the base of the ramp is lifted into place.



The giant corner fellow gets picked up...

and swung through the air....

Rocks in place, a few more will need to be added for the finishing touches.

Digging Holes and Filling Them

HK dug a big hole where the Japanese Maple will eventually live.

He used the gravel from the hole to fill in a ramp by the tractor shed.

Then he brought a lot of dirt in the tractor.

and dumped it into the hole.....

again and again.....

Ramp Building and Electrical Completion

The first phase of the ramp construction is underway.

The basic structure has been created and the cement boards

will soon be covered by the big rocks

The ramp from the other side.  Once the big rocks are placed

the topcoat will be added on and packed down

The final electrical step was to put the outlets into the floor.

Basement Work and Brick Shelter

The underfloor heating matts in the first section of the office have been installed.

The shelter for doing brickwork in the rain has been covered.

Wildberry Sunset

A pale pink wintery sky highlights the mountains over Vancouver.

Chilly temperatures are keeping us indoors near the fire.

Stairs and Inside Railing Complete

Glass, Top Rail and Christmas



 



The top rail has been installed in a couple of places.

It's very finicky work but looks good once it's complete.

The glass has been in place for a while, it's a much stronger system once the top rail is on.

Frodo sleeps by the Christmas presents underneath the Yukka plant.
Presents and wrapping have been taking the place of renos lately!!
